An exclusive and inspiring dance program for talented and passionate young dancers who are ready to grow beyond their weekly classes and dive deeper into their training.
Led by York Dance Company Director Sibylle Kockjeu, Associate Director Chloe Mangham and an incredible lineup of guest teachers, our Associates Program offers high-level, personalised dance education in a supportive and creative environment.

Founder
This Program was created by York Dance Company Director Sibylle Kockjeu whose passion lies in nurturing talent and building a dance space that is supportive, empowering and inspiring - a place where every dancer's love and passion for dance can truly flourish!
Sibylle has taught, coached and mentored performers, actors, singers and professional dancers for over 20 years, guiding students on both technical and artistic levels.
Her dance students have gained places at some of the world's leading and best dance institutions, including:
IWANSON (Munich, Germany)
SEAD (Salzburg, Austria)
BROADWAY DANCE CENTRE (New York)
MILLENIUM DANCE COMPLEX (Los Angeles)
Many of her former students now work professionally across the globe - as choreographers, performers, dancers and dance teachers.

We've seen it more and more - Associates Programs asking for payment just to audition. But we believe access to training shouldn't come with a price tag before you've even sat foot in the studio.

No hidden costs. No pressure. Just a chance to show us what you've got.

Applying
To be considered for the York Dance Associates Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Demonstrate experience and aptitude in dance, with at least four years of training in ballet, contemporary or jazz dance

Be aged 12 - 21 years old
Admission is by audition only, offering talented and dedicated students the opportunity to train alongside like-minded dancers who share a passion for dance and performing.
AUDITION DATE: Sunday 6th July 2025
If you are unable to attend in person, you may apply via video audition.
