Founder
This Dance Program is designed by York Dance Company Director Sibylle Kockjeu who is passionate about nurturing talent and creating a dance space that is encouraging, supportive and empowering, allowing a dancer's love and passion for dance to flourish!
Sibylle has taught, coached and mentored performers, actors, singers and professional dancers throughout her professional career, spanning more than two decades.
Her dance students have gained places at some of the world's leading and best schools including IWANSON in Munich, Germany; SEAD in Salzburg, Austria; the BROADWAY DANCE CENTRE in New York and MILLENIUM DANCE COMPLEX in Los Angeles.
Sibylle's ex students now work as choreographers, professional dancers and dance teachers globally.

5 Sunday training sessions (including YDC Associate shirt)

Current Associates that would like to continue for the upcoming program receive 10% off the full price.
Applying
Applicants must have the following to be considered for the York Dance Associates program:

Experience and aptitude in dance with at least four years of experience in ballet, contemporary or jazz dance (JUNIORS at least two years)

You must be between 8-12 years old for the JUNIOR program, 12 - 16 years old for the INTERS program and 13-21 years old for the SENIOR program
Places are allocated by AUDITION only, so it gives the opportunity for gifted students to train alongside like-skilled students who share a similar passion for dance and performing.

JUNIORS 10:30 am - 11:30 am
INTERS & SENIORS 12 pm - 1:30 pm
